SITAP Zen rug line – 2022 Pret à Porter New
Special carpet new, introduced last June at Salone del Mobile in Milan 60th edition. Zen rug line is pure viscose handloom rugs, according to a special craftsmanship technique defined “on two levels”. Once woven, viscose yarn is modeled-by-hand with simple shears, in order to faithfully reproduce a real Japanese garden design.
Three shapes & three shades – All over relax!

Modern Zen rug line is Care & Fair® certified. An international recognition, which guarantees workers rights and childhood in production countries. Care&Fair® organization was founded in 1994 to abolish child labor in production countries, by improving education level. Today, it boasts over 30 humanitarian projects in Pakistan, India and Nepal and 320 associated companies around the world, including SITAP Carpet Couture Italia.
The Essence of Time: SITAP Zen Rug line becomes a video project
Zen hand-woven rug line leads The Essence of Time video project, strongly desired by Barbara Trombatore Creative Director to tell the values and the furnishing experience of this new autumn/winter proposal.
The value of time is the core. A resource to be lived slowly, savoring every moment, without haste. Hence the idea of describing Zen SITAP carpet through a visual and at the same time tactile path, dedicated to its precise and circular design, inspired by a real Japanese garden. A meticulous and careful path, to reach perfection and the elevation of the deepest self.
Officina del Design project – Barbara Trombatore & Tommaso Ceschi
Tommaso Ceschi
Milanese Product & Packaging designer, born in 1979. His background is dotted with important collaborations, such as Aldo Cibic, Milan Polytechnic, Studio Castiglione Morelli Design. A great electronics lover, he develops numerous projects and activities in this field alongside important brands such as Epson, Guzzini, Oregon Scientific. Today he is an independent designer, curious and open to any creative experience. His Zen project was chosen to bring life to SITAP Carpet Couture Italia Zen rug line.
