Our exhibition space at MADE4ART art gallery in via Ciovasso let us to show Haute Couture and Pret a Porter 2022 some previews. A unique opportunity to tell our carpet aim: real artworks on fabric. Beautiful interior elements to be lived on the ground and even more hanged on the wall, like modern tapestries.
Brera Design District – SITAP 2022 Preview
Five days that gave us so many emotions. Since the inauguration on Sunday 5 September, where a lot of friends came to visit us and many new people at the same time, who thanks to Fuorisalone were able to meet us for the first time, directly in the heart of the artists’ district of Milano.

Haute Couture Devotion rugs become an art installation: SITAP Love Wall
Devotion rug: SITAP Haute Couture Collection main carpet is totally renewed for SITAP in BRERA artistic installation. Thanks to Barbara Trombatore, SITAP CEO & Creative Director flair, this iconic model becomes a Capsule Collection dedicated to the word Love written in different idioms. Devotion Omnia Amore Capsule Collection.
“I wish to enhance a carpet that tells our values and can show its infinite potential. Made of pure hand-tufted bamboo silk, it has been declined in a soft pastel palette. Furthermore, it features a special hand-written on the core, customizable on request.
SITAP Love Wall is a special art installation dedicated to Love and inspired by Frida Kahlo paintings. She has always been Barbara favorite artists.
“Devotion rug line fully boasts craftsmanship aim that I have been looking for in every carpet I make for a long time. Each model is conceived as a sculpture and it is really hand sculpted with chisel by skilled craftsmen. Raw materials are changing, evolving. The carpet is no longer a two-dimensional element, but able of reflecting depth. A concept that also returns in our Manifesto proposed to SITAP in BRERA ” – Barbara Trombatore ends.
A tribute to Milano city: #Memphis
1981: the Memphis art movement is established in Milan. Disruptive art, ready to overturn the minimalist design of the time with innovative projects linked to a new color and geometry use. Inspirations from Pop Art to Futurism and Art Déco. An important anniversary, which Barbara Trombatore wish to celebrate with an impressive and eyecatching carpet. Thanks to the precious partnership with Alessandro Corina designer, here is #Memphis rug. Haute Couture 2022 new carpet, part of Officina del Design SITAP project. “Absolute color as primary human need expression. Well-being as essentiality”.

Will creativity save the world? A question that Barbara Trombatore also asked herself, especially during Lockdown hardest months, in 2020 spring. The answer was not long in coming: Officina del Design SITAP Carpet Couture Italia. An ambitious project, which aims to bring young Italian designers together, under Barbara Trombatore creative direction. A successful experiment, which currently has about ten collaborations and which is always looking for new projects, new inspirations. SITAP in BRERA was the winning opportunity to introduce some latest projects. Scarabeo, created thanks to Emma Scolari & Zuzanna Niespor partnership and the Milanese artist Paola Manuelli latest creations. Thanks to Deco models she switched Caravaggop artistic into a feminine key.

Alyssa nautical rope carpets – In Brera the latest 2022 new
The latest proposals of Alyssa Patchwork line have certainly intrigued for its elegance and practicality winning mix, its main features. Made of nautical rope assembled by hand according to ancient craft techniques, it is proposed here in new colors such as beige and dove gray and in two new versions: Alyssa Beauty, with softer colors and an exclusive rectangular shape and Alyssa Pet Lover, entirely handmade from 100% PET yarn, obtained from plastic thrown into the sea recovery. A collection that drives our SITAP Issue, launched in September 2021 and which expresses next autumn winter season main values.
