An ambitious project born from a bet. That of Barbara Trombatore to give voice to some italian young design promises and their carpet new idea, for future home and their inhabitants. Mission accomplished for Alessandro Corina project, who really knows how to combine past inspirations with next decades great design. #Memphis rug becomes a cult object.
Alessandro Corina has already been part of SITAP Officina del Design project for years. He designed Deco 190X/Q04 carpet, part of Pret à Porter 2020 Catalogue.

#Memphis rug is one of SITAP Limited Edition leading rugs, introduced twice in Milan at SITAP in Brera – Fuorisalone del Mobile 2021 and at Salone del Mobile last edition – june 2022. The ’80s are back with Miami Vice movie and Pastel Aesthetic style new inspirations. Color as an absolute need, to get out of today’s chaos and find new stability. This handmade carpet designed by Alessandro Corina for SITAP Officina del Design project talks about a great craftsmanship and precious hand-techniques. #Memphis rug thus becomes three-dimensional and multisensory, thanks to two-level weaving technique and handcarving finishing. Viscose and Wool coexist in harmony, showing all their unique sensorial features to touch and sight.

Alessandro Corina is a passionate creative, always fond of SITAP Centro Stile. Tuscan, born in 1988 and proud of a skillfull background, which certainly does not go unnoticed. Attentive observer, he knows how to transform reality into creativity, putting the satisfaction of his final interlocutor first. His Home Studio in Grosseto is a lab conceived as a house and at the same time a project, selected in 2018 as part of the Best Italian Interior Design Selection editorial initiative. Among his works, set designer for the music video “Another summer” by Diodato, shot at Parco dell’Uccellina in Maremma in 2020.
